Overview and Responsibilities: CBS Sports is looking for a Director, Graphics Production to join the team! This person is responsible for identifying and securing new business relationships and opportunities, often focused on crafting and advancing visual content for CBS Sports studio programming and events. This role combines intuition for business with creative vision, requiring strong interpersonal skills, along with a deep understanding of sports television production and design trends. The Director role will oversee the financial responsibilities and the business affairs of the CBS Sports Graphics department. The voice of this role is an important one in all discussions about future planning, department growth, and major projects such as the Super Bowl. The Director, Graphic Production's input weighs heavily in all Graphics department matters. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Identify and develop new business opportunities, including researching and evaluating potential vendor partnerships Build and maintain relationships with vendors, present creative concepts, and negotiate contracts Lead and mentor direct reports managing the business operations of the graphics department Collaborate with internal teams (finance, legal, sales, programming) and external vendors to ensure successful execution of projects Stay current on industry trends in sports graphics, design software, and digital marketing to provide informed recommendations Basic Qualifications: 6+ years of experience in sports television production Demonstrated success in leading and managing teams Experienced in overseeing and managing budgets Additional Qualifications: Strong business negotiation skills, with a demonstrated track record of securing and managing deals Prior experience working with unions Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills Deep understanding of sports graphics, branding, and the role of visual content in television production Familiarity with graphic design software and tools, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Cinema 4D and Unreal Engine. CBS Sports, a year-round leader in cross-platform sports coverage, broadcasts a portfolio of events on the CBS Television Network, including THE NFL ON CBS; college football, including the Big Ten ON CBS; college basketball, including the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Championship; golf, including The Masters, PGA Championship and PGA TOUR; soccer, including the UEFA Champions League and NWSL; and CBS SPORTS SPECTACULAR. In addition, the division includes CBS SPORTS NETWORK, the 24-hour cable home of CBS Sports which televises live sports programming throughout the year, including college football and basketball games, UEFA Champions League and Europa League action, Italy's Serie A matches, Concacaf national team competitions, as well as a full slate of original programming and studio coverage. CBS Sports also delivers an extensive lineup of global soccer coverage on Paramount+, including every UEFA club competition match, all Serie A matches as well as Concacaf national team competitions, and produces INSIDE THE NFL for Paramount+. CBS Sports Digital's multi-platform offerings include CBSSports.com and the CBS Sports apps for mobile and connected TV devices; the 24/7 streaming sports news network CBS Sports HQ; 247Sports; MaxPreps; CBS Sports fantasy games; and SportsLine.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $145,000.00 - 170,000.00. The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
