This role is ideal for a tech and mechanically -savvy, self-motivated professional who thrives in a dynamic field environment and enjoys solving problems both mechanical and digital. The technician will be responsible for maintaining, calibrating, cleaning and optimizing HVAC systems throughout the portfolio, including smart thermostats and related equipment, while leveraging AIR’s SmartRent platform to proactively manage alerts and plan daily tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Calibrate, troubleshoot, and optimize HVAC thermostats and fan speeds.
  • Perform coil cleaning and routine HVAC maintenance across multiple communities.
  • Monitor and respond to humidity and temperature alerts to plan and prioritize daily and weekly tasks.
  • Investigate and perform abate and remediate activity for lower-level mold incidents per the guidelines documented in the AIR Communities Mold Policy & Procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, property teams, and vendors to ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors for specialized repairs or services.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and system performance.
  • Travel between communities in the South Beach/Miami area as needed
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30AM-5:30PM
Qualifications

What You Will Bring: 

  • Proven experience in HVAC maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair common HVAC issues and systems.
  • Familiarity with smart home technology platforms (SmartRent experience preferred).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; able to work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with residents and team members.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Located in or near South Beach, Miami, with flexibility to travel locally.
