We are looking for a dedicated Plant Controller to oversee financial operations and reporting for a manufacturing facility experiencing dramatic growth. This role offers the opportunity to manage critical accounting processes while collaborating closely with a regional controller. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in general ledger accounting and manufacturing finance, along with a proactive mindset and eagerness to grow their expertise.

Responsibilities:

• Manage monthly financial close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and cash flow statements.

• Oversee inventory accounting and provide insights into cost management.

• Collaborate on detailed profit and loss (P& L) reporting and analysis.

• Supervise and provide guidance to the accounting clerk.

• Analyze financial performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).

• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting activities to support strategic planning.

• Assist with standard cost accounting and ensure accuracy in manufacturing-related financial data.

• Work closely with the regional controller to take on responsibilities and expand expertise

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, journal entries, and monthly close processes.
• Familiarity with inventory accounting and standard costing techniques.
• Proficiency in preparing and analyzing profit and loss (P& L) reports.
• Demonstrated ability to handle cash flow analysis and forecasting.
• Experience with budgeting and financial planning processes.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively manage and mentor staff.
• A career-driven attitude with a willingness to learn and take on greater responsibilities over time.
