Senior Fund Accountant Venture Capital / Private Equity

A leading Bay Area venture capital firm (AUM $1B+) is looking for a Senior Fund Accountant to join its lean, high-performing finance team. This is a chance to work directly with the VP of Finance and CFO, gaining hands-on exposure to fund & management company accounting, investor reporting, and strategic finance initiatives in a collaborative, fast-moving environment.

This firm invests in cutting-edge early-stage technology companies, and with multiple funds actively raising, youll have visibility, impact, and access to decision-makers from day one.

What youll do:

• Review NAV packages, investor statements, capital calls, distributions, and incentive calculations from the fund administrator.
• Own accounting for special purpose vehicles and management entities.
• Support annual audits and tax processes.
• Assist with compliance filings (Form ADV, PF, 13F, FATCA, etc.).
• Contribute to quarterly investor reporting and financial analysis.
• Partner with the investment team on portfolio financing and liquidity events.

What were looking for:

• 34+ years in VC, PE, or public accounting (asset management focus).
• Proficiency in Excel; QuickBooks experience a plus.
• A self-starter who thrives in a lean team and fast-paced environment.
