Overview The individual accepting this assignment will teach Language Arts. Responsibilities Must communicate effectively with parents, staff, and students. Must work effectively with students of varying abilities. Special Requirements Valid Oregon teaching license appropriate to the assignment. Language Arts endorsement required. Must have knowledge of social/emotional needs of high school students, and the ability to work well with students, communicate with parents and peers. Must be able to use a variety of learning and instructional models. Preferred characteristics: enthusiasm and high energy; creative use of instructional strategies; and commitment to developing a sense of community. Must demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality. Ability to work well with other staff, students, and parents. Preferred Qualifications Master of Arts in English or Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing This TEMPORARY position is 1.0 FTE for the remainder of the 2025-26 school year.
